Well like good old Gnome tradition I wet-felted her boots and hat.
She is very proud of them!
She insists on wearing an apron ( where else would she put the little snacks for tiny animals) and a long skirt.
All I have to do now is sew the apron and maybe embroider her hat.
I"ll think there is a Gnome father waiting for her. . . . .

Third little Owl
The third little Owl is finished and looking quite nosy!
Yes little one, this is your home for now and these are your new friends.
The Barby-mice are a bit cautious. . . . . .
p.s. I have to make a little gnome woman now, post will follow.

Crazy carpenter
I so love woodworking! I don't have a shed or other place where I can work so I can only work outside in my garden ♫ when the weather is fine ♫
The weather isn't that fine at the moment and I feel like the winter is never coming to an end .
And I wanted to make a little desk, I've made one before but my daughter stole it :-)
Can't find a photo of it but here are some other things I've made ( If the weather was fine I would have made more and more of these, hence Crazy carpenter)
The last picture is of a cardboard clock I made for my daughter

Making a felt doll part 3
When I came down this morning, the girl and her friends were waiting for me at the kitchen table !
They were very anxious to see what kind of clothes I had in mind for her.Well, she is a bird girl so a natural looking feather-like outfit with little boots to walk in the forest would be awesome!
And there she is !!
Oh wait little Ginny is as smart as her mother Barby !!
I forgot to sew the "Pip's Poppies" label on her back !All we have to do is wait for the birds to come ( the weather was very bad, I think they show up tomorrow)

doll making part 2
As promised, part two :
I've cut and sew the parts, here you see them with the plastic joints I use for the arms and legs.
Now I have to turn and fill them and put the joints in.
That's done! Her head is sewn on but she looks a little unhappy.
She is pointing out that I haven't give her toes yet!
Look I've got toes! She is smiling now!
Lets give her a hair......
Yes this is you !
I always have to try different colours of hair, believe it or not but they have a very distinguished personality and they need the right colour!
This is a bird-girl!!
Tomorrow she gets a nice outfit and some birds to accompany her......

Making a felt doll part 1
First I make the head, if the head turns out good, I make the body.
I don't particularly like making the body but if I like the head I can't wait to make her/him a body.
Front of the head.I'm checking the profile
The head is sewn together and now I needle felt a small pompom to fill in the nose.
With a invisible ink marker I draw the features
I'll paint the features with Gesso first
Time for a cup of coffee and a stroopwafel-cookie, in the meantime the gesso will dry.
I paint her features with acrylic paint and Pastel
Here she is, she has come to life and I gave her ears immediately, cause I wanted to tell her how sweet she is.
I can't wait now to make her a body, tomorrow I'll show you!
